You’re Never Too Small
We often hear how businesses consider themselves too small to need a quality logo design. But do they want to stay small or grow into a larger, more profitable entity? It is important to behave as you want to become, not just where you are now. For instance, a brand new landscaping business may choose to put only their name on their vehicles, yard signs, business cards and flyers. But it is so much more effective to have a quality logo in all of those places. As your vehicles and signs are around town, they will be recognized quickly and potential customers will take greater notice. And when they are ready for your services, they will remember you from your logo, not from your plain black and white sign.
Quality & Consistency Are Key
Understanding the need for a logo is an easier concept to grasp than understanding the need for quality and consistency.
Many times we see companies that have a photo-shopped image or a text font used across many forms of advertising in different shapes, sizes and colors. I would consider this to do more damage to your brand than no logo at all. It conveys that you don’t want to invest in your business and be consistent in what you are telling your customers.
A good logo design includes a vector image which can be manipulated to different sizes, but will always maintain the proportion and colors of your logo concept.

Brand Identity Guidelines
So long as you don’t need any design or printed materials we recommend The Essential package – this is the choice most of our clients go with if they are looking for just a logo design. However if you do need printed materials, then we recommend the professional package.
A creative brief is the term we use to describe the form we have created to gather information about your logo project. It asks detailed, in-depth questions so we can get to know who you are and what you are looking for.
A good logo involves more than just color and font. It should be created to match your existing branding, and to fit your personality. This form helps us get what we need so we can give you an excellent end-product.
First drafts are the initial concepts for your logo – each one built to look a little different so you have some choices for the direction you want to go.
Even our most basic packages come with at least 3 first drafts.
For revisions we ask that you review the “first drafts” and choose at least 1 concept that you like (the amount of first drafts that you can choose depends on which package you have chosen and is indicated by the phrase “choices for revision”).
After picking your choices for revision we ask that you provide feedback about what you want us to change (colors, fonts etc.) The amount of revisions we will make is indicated by the phrase “revisions available.”
For example, let’s say you choose the Advanced package. You get 4 “first drafts”, must choose the 2 that you like the best and provide feedback. We will make 3 total revisions – not 3 for each choice but 3 in total. You may choose to apply all 3 revisions to just one of the two first drafts or split them up.
All the items for both design and print include the following specs:
- Business Cards – one or two sides, full color
- Letterheads – 8 1/2″ x 11″ full color
- Return Envelopes – size #10 with logo & return address, full color
- Notecards with envelopes – 4.25″ x 5.5″ full color, blank envelopes
- Tri-fold Brochures – 8 1/2″ x 11″, full color
Depending on the chosen package, the range is anywhere from 3 – 10 business days for you to receive your first drafts. This time-frame assumes you have filled out the creative brief and communicated with the graphic designer to review your concept.
From here on out, the time to final completion depends largely on your chosen package and how long the revision process takes.
Simple put – you do. Once the project is complete you will have all rights to your logo.
We will provide your files to you in the following formats: .jpeg | .png | .eps | .pdf (which can be opened in illustrator).
We will provide both high and low resolution files in both color and black and white for all of the above file formats.
If the packages listed do not meet your need then yes – you can customized your order. We are a full service design and print company so if you need other printed materials not listed here we are more than able to provide those for you. Please give us a call at 336.765.5505 to discuss your custom order.
